The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $24 million.
For foreign currency, businesses from Turkey and Afghanistan purchased petroleum coke and hydrotreated diesel fuel produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, while Afghanistan-based companies bought ECO-93 gasoline produced by the Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern. The Russian and Afghan businesses also purchased Turkmen polyethylene, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Saturday.
Companies based in the UAE purchased cotton yarn for foreign currency.
The Pakistan-based businesses also purchased cotton yarn for over 878 thousand manats.
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased polypropylene bags, slack wax, agglomerate and granulate of polypropylene film worth over 10.574 million manats.
State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 37 transactions last week.
