The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $22.34 million.
For foreign currency, the businesses from the UK and Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas produced by the Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern and Urea Grade B of Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Saturday.
Companies based in Russia, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan bought dyed terry products and cotton yarn for foreign currency.
The business circles of Turkey and the UAE purchased cotton yarn for over 17.39 thousand manats.
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased polypropylene produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, and float glass and hand-made carpets worth over 55.351 million manats.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 46 transactions last week.
