In its recent report, the Russian Grain Union has lowered the forecast for grain harvest in Russia this year to 118 million tons, including wheat - to over 75 million tons. Initially, the Union forecasted a wheat harvest of 82-83 million tons.
A possible 20% decrease in wheat yields is predicted in Kazakhstan, and the harvest is expected at the level of 15 million tons.
The experts of the International Grain Council in the new report for the 2021-2022 agricultural season also lowered the forecast for the production of wheat in the world.
Turkmenistan first began exporting wheat ten years ago, and in 2015, was awarded a special award by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for achievements in ensuring food security as one of the Millennium Development Goals.
