The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week amounted to $26.72 million.
For foreign currency, the businesses from the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Afghanistan, Malta and Uzbekistan purchased gasoline, paraffin slack, liquefied gas and polypropylene produced at Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, while the companies from Turkey, Afghanistan and China’s Hong Kong purchased liquefied gas of Türkmengaz State Concern as well as pyrolysis gasoline and pyrolysis residue from Türkmenhimiýa State Concern, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Monday.
Additionally, the businesses from Turkey purchased cotton yarn for more than 11.6 million manats.
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased packaging film produced at the Turkmenbashi refinery, and hand-made carpets for more than 25 million manats.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 45 transactions last week.
