The Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov during a cabinet meeting on Friday briefed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on preparations for a trilateral meeting of the Presidents of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey.
The meeting will be held in Turkmenistan this year, the official Turkmen media reports.
A summit meeting was one of the main topics of a trilateral meeting of foreign ministers of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey, held last February in Ankara. Back then, the ministers also identified a road map for the upcoming trilateral summit of Presidents of the three countries.
During the government meeting, Meredov also reported on preparations for the VI Summit of the Caspian littoral states and the First Interparliamentary Forum of Central Asia and Russia, which are scheduled for this year.
