President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Wednesday toured the capital and inspected the construction works at the Magtymguly Pyragy Cultural Park Complex, which nears completion.
Charymyrat Purchekov, the Deputy Chairman of the Turkmen Government for the industrial and construction complex, briefed the Head of State on the progress of work at the construction site and practical steps to improve the territory.
The Turkmen President was briefed on the layout and general view of the 41-hectare cultural park complex, the country’s official media reports.
The Head of State then inspected the designs of a monument of the classic of Turkmen literature who left an unfading mark on world history. The height of the sculpture installed on a natural hill is 60 meters, and the height of the pedestal is 25 meters.
Noting the importance of using innovative technologies at the complex, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need for modern lighting equipment that would illuminate the winged lines of the great Pyragy’s poems famous to the entire mankind.
Following the inspection, the Turkmen President drew the attention of the relevant officials to the issues of park’s improvement and landscaping, and instructed to exercise due control over maintaining cleanliness in the vast territory adjacent to the sculpture.
The sketches presented to the Head of State included the variant of reconstruction of the fountain-sculptural composition along the Archabil Avenue.
