Thursday Trades at Turkmen Commodity Exchange: Polyethylene, Diesel, Cotton Yarn
The businesses from Poland, the UAE and Afghanistan bought a total of 5,000 tons of polyethylene T60-475-119 for over $3.6 million.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) during Thursday trades registered deals on the procurement of polyethylene, diesel fuel and cotton yarn. The deals totaled $21.5 million.

The businesses from Poland, the UAE and Afghanistan bought a total of 5,000 tons of polyethylene T60-475-119 for over $3.6 million. The price of the commodity decreased by 17.5 percent compared to the previous auction and amounted to $730 per ton, the SCRMET announced on Friday.

Moreover, the Emirati and Afghan businesses procured 17 thousand tons of hydrotreated diesel fuel for a total of $15.9 million. The price of the petroleum products decreased by 6.8% compared to the previous auction and amounted to $939 per ton.

The Turkish companies bought 572 thousand kilograms of cotton yarn at the auction for $1.8 million.

For the local market, Turkmen entrepreneurs bought 423.5 thousand kilograms of cotton yarn for a total of 18.5 million manats.

During Monday trades, the SCRMET registered deals on the procurement of different types of cotton yarn, base oil and handmade carpets.
