Turkmentel 2019, a two-day international exhibition and scientific conference on telecommunications, telemetry and information technologies, kicked off at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan on Wednesday.
The exhibition in Ashgabat, covering 8 thousand square meters, gathered not only local companies but also the international businesses seeking to establish cooperation with Turkmenistan.
Turkmentel 2019, which gathered companies from 14 countries, is one of the largest telecommunications exhibitions in CIS.
Asman Oky enterprise, which facilitates the digitization of local economy, the developer of online taxi order application Ykjam Aragatnaşyk, and the Cyber Security company Türkmen Tranzit are taking part in the exhibition. Online trade and advertising platforms including Tmcars and Saraý are also attending the two-day event.
The local phone brand Milli one presented its smartphones, phones, computers and tablets at the exhibition. According to the company representative, the equipment of the Milli one brand will be available on the local market starting January 1, 2020.
The state communications institutions of Turkmenistan presented their innovations at the event. The cellular communication company Türkmentelekom and the Ashgabat City Telephone Network (AGTS) reported discounts on Internet tariffs from December 1.
Foreign companies such as telecommunication equipment manufacturers Huawei and Apple, broadcasting equipment manufacturers Triada Tv and Sony, and Rohde & Schwarz, specializing in the development of communication technologies, also presented their products at the exhibition.
The exhibition, organized by the Türkmenaragatnaşyk agency and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, will continue until November 28.
