Turkmen President Meets Head of Japan's Tsukuba University

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the President of Japan's Tsukuba University Kyosuke Nagata on Tuesday in Ashgabat, the official Turkmen media reports.

During the meeting, the Head of State acknowledged the strong bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Japan and highlighted the productive collaboration in various areas, including politics, trade-economy, and humanitarian endeavors.

The discussion also focused on the potential for expanding the traditional ties between the two countries in the fields of science and education.

The President expressed satisfaction with the successful cooperation between Tsukuba University and Turkmen universities- the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan. He expressed confidence that this partnership, which plays a crucial role in shaping a modern, well-developed, and innovative young generation, will continue to thrive.

In response, the President of Tsukuba University expressed gratitude to the Turkmenistan President for the comprehensive support in fostering productive and multifaceted dialogue between the two countries.

Kyosuke Nagata also held a meeting with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, on Tuesday, discussing the prospects for further deepening the traditional cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan.

The conversation also explored possibilities for exchanging experiences and training experienced teachers to teach Japanese language in Turkmenistan and Turkmen language in Japan.
