Balance of Loans of Turkmen Banks Exceeds 90.1 Billion Manats

As of December 1, 2023, the total amount of loan balances allocated by credit institutions of Turkmenistan to enterprises, organisations and population in national currency amounted to more than 90.1 billion manats. As of December 1, 2022, the total amount of credit balances exceeded 88.4 billion manats, as reported by the e-magazine Bank Habarlary (Bank News) published by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.

As of December 1, 2023, loan balances allocated to state institutions and enterprises amounted to over 56.5 billion manats. On December 1, 2022, such loan balances totalled more than 58.4 billion manats.

According to the Central Bank statistics, as of December 1, 2023, the amount of loan balances provided to non-state companies and organisations in national currency totalled 12.3 billion manats, a 4,3% percent increase compared to the same period of 2022 (11 billion 830 million manats).

Also, the total amount of loan balances provided to citizens and non-state entrepreneurs in national currency as of December 1, 2023, amounted to more than 21.3 billion manats, 14,4% more than the same period in 2022. In December 2022, this figure stood at 18.6 billion manats.

The total amount of non-cash transactions via bank cards in Turkmenistan from January to November 2023 exceeded 15.6 billion manats, as reported by the e-magazine Bank Habarlary (Bank News) published by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.
