Turkmenistan Airlines plans to expand its flight network in the first quarter of 2024 by adding three new routes and resuming flights.

The new destinations include Ashgabat - Abu Dhabi (UAE), Ashgabat - Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) and Ashgabat – Milan (Italy), as reported on Tuesday by AeroRoutes, a portal that specialises in updates and daily changes to airline schedules and networks around the world.

The Ashgabat-Abu Dhabi route will resume flight operations with a frequency of once a week, starting from January 5, 2024. The Ashgabat-Ho Chi Minh City route will have flights twice a week beginning on March 5, 2024. The Ashgabat-Milan/Malpensa route will operate once a week starting from March 6, 2024.

Turkmenistan Airlines recently resumed passenger flights on the Ashgabat-Moscow/Domodedovo route. The first flight operated in mid-December this year, and by February 2024, Turkmenistan Airlines plans to increase the number of flights to 10 per week.

The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, introduced by Türkmenhowaýollary agency in early December, started operating scheduled flights on the Ashgabat-Bangkok route from December 22, 2023.
