Turkmenistan to Reconstruct '15 Years of Independence' Park in Ashgabat

During a recent online government meeting, Baymyrat Annamammedov, Deputy Chairman for Construction and Industry, briefed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on plans to reconstruct the '15 Years of Turkmenistan's Independence' park in Ashgabat.

The park, spanning 50 hectares, will undergo significant changes, including the construction of pedestrian overpasses, bicycle lanes, resting areas, pools, covered parking lots, and the installation of modern street lighting, the official Turkmen media reports.

According to Annamammedov, landscaping work is also scheduled for the square's territory.

President Berdimuhamedov stressed the project's importance, highlighting the need to create optimal recreational conditions for residents. He emphasized that the park's redesign should align with Ashgabat's architectural image.

Relevant instructions were issued to the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure the park's alignment with the city's aesthetic and functional goals.

The government meeting additionally addressed priority state matters.
