Representatives from the Türkmendeňizderýaýollary (Turkmen Maritime and River Roads) agency participated in the Iran Maritime Economy Forum. The event focused on addressing matters related to advancing international trade and transport connections among regional countries in the North-South and West-East corridors.
As reported by the Agency on Tuesday, participants in the forum included representatives from transport companies, government bodies, and business groups in Iran.
The discussions prominently highlighted three transport corridors: "Europe-Russia-Azerbaijan-Iran-India," "Russia-Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran-India," and "Russia-Iran-India."
Within the forum, meetings were conducted with representatives from the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran, where Turkmenistan's sea port system, national merchant fleet, and shipbuilding capabilities were comprehensively presented. In exploring opportunities for expanded cooperation, discussions revolved around the capacity and potential incentives for other foreign companies operating in Iran's northern ports (Anzali, Amirabad, Nowshahr, and others).
The Turkmen delegation also engaged in separate round-table discussions with M.B. Akdam, the Chief Advisor of Behineh Tarabar Azhour company.
