The member of Kazakhstani Parliament Bolatbek Nazhmetdinuly proposes Turkmenistan as an alternative route for international trucking, suggesting it as an option for reaching Türkiye and Gulf countries. The announcement was made on Monday by the Republic of Kazakhstan's Government Press Service.
The proposal was discussed during a meeting on current issues in the country's cargo trucking industry, led by Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin, with the participation of representatives from relevant ministries and agencies.
The deputy highlighted the importance of state support in simplifying visa procedures with Turkmenistan to facilitate this initiative.
The meeting also suggested exploring a route through Latvia as an alternative for delivering goods to European Union countries.
Following the meeting, Serik Zhumangarin instructed participants to examine all possible alternatives for international trucking routes and develop a plan for their development, taking into account business representatives' suggestions.
