In the coastal region, the pioneer of the domestic gas-chemical industry, the Kiyanly Polymer Plant of the State Concern "Türkmengaz," is operating successfully. The polyethylene and polypropylene produced here are in high demand on the global market. These versatile raw materials are used to manufacture numerous polymer products and consumer goods, including medical items, disposable cups, household bags, various packaging, pipes ranging from 20 to 500 mm in diameter designed specifically for high atmospheric pressure, and much more.

The "Revival of the New Era of a Powerful State: National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052" particularly emphasizes the development of the country's regions, including the Balkan province. The focus is on producing import-substituting and export-oriented goods. These include gas-chemical products derived from deep processing of natural gas with high added value, as demanded by market conditions.

The products of the "Garabogazkarbamid" plant, with a design capacity of 1 million 155 thousand tons of urea per year, a portion of which is exported, are also competitive on the global market. The transportation of finished products labeled "Made in Turkmenistan" is carried out through the International Sea Port of Turkmenbashi, which opens "gates" to many countries worldwide. Compared to other modes of transport, large-capacity ships allow for the simultaneous shipment of large cargo batches to other ports quickly and without loss, which is crucial in market conditions. In this coastal city, where all routes converge, a major transshipment point has formed in the Asia-Europe direction. The creation of a modern logistics system, road-transport infrastructure, a network of highways, and other engineering and communication infrastructure is yielding positive results.

A clear example of this is the construction of an international airport near the village of Jebel, with a capacity of 100 passengers per hour. It will be the second "air gateway" in the province. The International Airport in Jebel is scheduled to be commissioned in December of this year. The new airport in the Balkan province will be the fifth infrastructure project to be built in the country under the "National Program for the Development of Civil Aviation of Turkmenistan for 2012-2030."

The construction of the Turkmenbashi–Garabogaz–Serhetyaka (Kazakhstan) highway, which will logically continue the high-speed Ashgabat–Turkmenabat autobahn, is planned. To this end, a modern bridge across the Garabogaz Gulf is being constructed, which will become a bridge of friendship and brotherhood between peoples.

In the Balkan province, the oil and gas, chemical industries are dynamically developing, which are of strategic importance for the development of the fuel and energy complex and the export potential of our energy power. Major divisions of the State Concern "Türkmennebit," such as the "Nebitgazburawlaýyş" and "Nebitgazçykaryş" trusts, engaged in drilling exploration, development wells, and the extraction of oil and hydrocarbon raw materials, are successfully operating here. Currently, the development of the North Goturdepe and Uzynada fields, dominated by deep-drilling wells, is being intensified.

Crude oil processing is carried out at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR), equipped with the most modern equipment and technology from global manufacturers. The petrochemical products of this industrial giant are mainly sold on the external market, which speaks to their competitiveness. The capacity of the refineries is steadily increasing, which in turn allows Turkmen oil refiners to keep pace with the times.
