On August 30, during a government meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Turkmenistan's Cabinet of Ministers B. Annammamedov reported on the results of the construction and industrial sectors' activities for January-July 2024.
It was reported that the plan for product output and completed work during the period was fulfilled at 110.5 percent.
Over the first seven months of the year, the Ministry of Construction and Architecture completed its plan at 107.8 percent. The Ministry of Industry and Construction Production produced goods and completed work amounting to a total of 1 billion 28 million manats.
During the reporting period, the Ministry of Energy achieved 106.6 percent of its production and work plan, while the State Concern "Türkmenhimiýa" fulfilled its plan by 126.8 percent.
The State Agency for Road Construction Management achieved 109 percent of its plan for completed work, and the city administration (hyakimlik) of Ashgabat fulfilled its plan by 110.8 percent.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of implementing comprehensive measures to ensure the uninterrupted operation and full output capacity of the construction and industrial sectors, as well as the establishment of new production facilities and job creation. He stressed the need for strict control over the timely completion of buildings, structures, and residential houses scheduled for opening in 2024, and gave specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister.
