Turkmenistan Sends New Humanitarian Aid to Afghanistan
Humanitarian aid sent to Afghanistan

The state policy of Turkmenistan, founded on the noble principles of friendship, brotherhood, good neighborliness, and humanitarianism, initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, is being successfully implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

A clear example of this is the humanitarian aid dispatched on September 11, following the President’s directive. This assistance, funded by the Charitable Fund for the Assistance of Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, was sent to mark the start of construction on the Serhetabat–Herat gas pipeline, power transmission lines, transport, and communication infrastructure at the Turkmen-Afghan border. The aid package includes children's food, wheat, food and industrial products, and fuel.

This humanitarian action continues Turkmenistan's long-standing efforts to support Afghanistan and serves to strengthen the traditional bonds of friendship and good neighborly relations between the Turkmen and Afghan peoples.

Neutral Turkmenistan, firmly adhering to the principles of peace and mutual support, plays a significant role in the socio-economic development of Afghanistan and in maintaining peaceful life in the neighboring country.

The ceremony for the handover of the aid was attended by a delegation from Turkmenistan and high-ranking Afghan officials.

Afghan citizens involved in receiving the aid expressed their sincere gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for their consistent support and assistance.
