According to Kononenko, the Halk Maslahaty, as a genuine organ of popular self-government, is currently a key pillar of Turkmen statehood, a guarantor of independence, peace, stability, and consensus in the country, and embodies the commitment to the age-old traditions of the Turkmen people's historical path.
"Peacefulness, foresight, responsibility, and alignment of all actions with the interests of the Fatherland are distinguishing features of the work of the Halk Maslahaty. During the Halk Maslahaty session, vital decisions were made aimed at further development and prosperity of Turkmenistan, improving the standard of living and welfare of its citizens, and strengthening the unity and cohesion of the entire Turkmen people," the Hero of Turkmenistan noted in his letter.
