Turkmenistan will participate in the International Trade and Logistics Forum Volga-Caspian, scheduled for December 5, 2024, in Ulyanovsk as part of the business forum Business Climate in Russia. The Ulyanovsk Region Government and the Afanasy Nikitin Association are organizing the event.
This forum aims to strengthen trade and economic ties between Russia and countries in the Caspian region, including Turkmenistan, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Iraq. A key topic will be the North-South transport corridor project, which will facilitate direct cargo delivery from the ports of the Middle Volga to the Persian Gulf, marking a significant advancement in trade relations and logistics infrastructure.
The conference will bring together leading logistics and transportation companies that handle cargo shipments to southern countries via maritime, river, rail, air, and road transport. Companies providing financial services, shipowners, and representatives from port authorities in Russia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Azerbayjan, Turkmenistan, India, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia will also participate in the conference.
The Volga-Caspian forum will provide a vital platform for exchanging expertise and discovering new opportunities for cooperation in logistics and goods transportation among regional countries. It aims to promote integration in infrastructure and trade, enhance transport corridors, and increase the volume of mutual trade flows while improving the business climate.
