A delegation from the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, during a working visit to Dubai from January 6 to 8 of this year, acquainted themselves with the innovative radiation scanning system for vehicles at the Jebel Ali port in the United Arab Emirates.

This system allows for the effective inspection of cargo vehicles and containers without damaging the goods, including food products. The scanning time for one vehicle is up to 150 units per hour at a speed of 8-15 km/h, according to the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

During the visit, the delegation met with the leadership of the Federal Customs Authority of the UAE, where the director of the International Customs Relations Department, Saud Alagroubi, spoke about the authority's activities and the experience of implementing the Authorized Economic Operators program. The sides discussed prospects for cooperation and the possibility of mutual recognition of such operators, while the Arab side proposed an action plan for further strengthening collaboration.

The Turkmen delegation also visited the Dubai Customs Academy, where they learned about modern training methods, including the use of virtual reality.

This visit is part of the implementation of a bilateral Cooperation Agreement in Customs Affairs, signed in November 2022 in Abu Dhabi.
