The government of Uzbekistan has approved new entry fees for foreign cargo vehicles, as reported by the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. The tariffs for transport from Turkmenistan have been increased. The entry fee for trucks weighing up to 10 tons will be $130 (previously $50), for trucks weighing 10 to 20 tons — $180 (previously $100), and for those over 20 tons — $250 (previously $150).

The rates for vehicles from other countries remain unchanged. For example, the fee for trucks from Afghanistan is $50, from Tajikistan it ranges from $100 to $200, from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan it is $300, and from other countries it is $400.

In October 2024, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan agreed on equal conditions for carriers. Starting in 2025, the fee rates for national transport companies from both countries will be aligned.

Additionally, there are plans to implement an electronic permit exchange system (E-Permit), which is already in use for transportation between Uzbekistan, Türkiye, and Kazakhstan. This initiative will simplify the documentation process and reduce the time required to cross borders.
