Representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belgium participated in a roundtable at the Team Belgium Global Gateway held on Friday at the Egmont Palace in Brussels. Yagshymyrat Kakajanov, an advisor at the Turkmen embassy, delivered a report that highlighted Turkmenistan's economic potential, strategic position, and favorable investment climate.

Turkmen diplomat expressed Turkmenistan's interest in strengthening partnership relations with Belgium and the European Union in trade, logistics, and industrial sectors, as reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belgium.

Kakajanov focused a significant part of his presentation on the country's transport infrastructure. He noted that the International Sea Port of Turkmenbashy is becoming a vital hub for Eurasian trade. Additionally, he explained that the 5,000 km railway network, modernized terminals, and the implementation of digital technologies create favorable conditions for Belgian companies.

In the energy sector, Kakajanov emphasized the prospects of the Trans-Caspian Gas Pipeline, which could significantly enhance Europe's energy security, as well as the East-West Gas Pipeline.

The Turkmen delegation introduced European businesses to investment opportunities in the industrial and construction sectors. They attracted Belgian companies' interest in expanding high-tech industrial zones, creating modern processing complexes for mineral raw materials, and implementing environmentally sustainable technologies in the mining sector.

The development of healthcare emerged as one of the key areas for future cooperation. The Turkmen side invited Belgian manufacturers of medical equipment, healthcare investors, and pharmaceutical companies to actively expand their partnerships in this strategically important field.

Leading Belgian companies such as Jan De Nul, DEME, Port of Antwerp-Bruges, Sarens, and Elia Grid International registered for the forum, exploring opportunities for future partnerships in large-scale infrastructure and logistics projects.

The Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized the event in collaboration with leading economic agencies, gathering government officials, representatives from the business community, and industry experts to discuss investment opportunities and prospects for cooperation in the Central Asian region.
