The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) is ready to serve as a single window for Turkmen businesses interested in exporting locally made products or purchasing goods from Belarus, BUCE board assistant Yaroslav Kovalchuk said following the International Trade and Services Exhibition (ITSE 2025) in Ashgabat, as reported by BELTA on Friday, citing the BUCE’s press service.
BUCE aims to deepen cooperation with Turkmen partners by increasing trade volumes and diversifying the range of goods involved in bilateral commerce.
Kovalchuk noted that, thanks to the accreditation of nearly all major producers and consumers in Belarus, Turkmen companies using the exchange gain access to the entire Belarusian market, along with up-to-date information on prices and delivery terms — significantly simplifying their operations in the country.
Currently, Belarusian lumber is the main product traded between the two countries via the exchange.
However, BUCE sees strong potential for Turkmen exports of textiles, fruits and vegetables. During ITSE 2025, BUCE representatives held talks with several Turkmen producers to encourage their participation on the Belarusian platform.
While in Ashgabat, BUCE officials also met with the leadership of Turkmenistan’s State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange to discuss enhancing cooperation, including data sharing and technology exchange, aimed at boosting the competitiveness and efficiency of both trading platforms.
