Turkmenistan has proposed organizing an exhibition in Paris in 2027–2028 featuring Bronze Age artifacts discovered within the country. The initiative was presented by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Monday.
Berdimuhamedov stated that the exhibition could serve as a continuation of a series of international exhibitions focused on Turkmenistan’s ancient history. Similar events have already been held in Germany, with another exhibition scheduled for 2025–2026 in Rome, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.
The National Leader also highlighted advancements in the field of speleology, noting that French specialists have conducted two expeditions in the Koytendag caves to study the region’s biodiversity. The Turkmen side expressed its readiness for further scientific cooperation.
Concluding the meeting, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Berdimuhamedov thanked the French for their warm reception and reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s commitment to a multi-faceted and mutually beneficial partnership.
Turkmenistan is also prepared to offer French businesses favorable conditions for investment and further cooperation, he emphasized during the Turkmen-French Economic Forum in Paris.
