Exports of food products from Turkmenistan rose 30% in 2025, with more than 263,000 metric tons shipped abroad during the year, the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan reported Tuesday.
Turkmenistan holds a leading position in the region for greenhouse tomato exports. Shipments of fresh tomatoes exceeded 181,000 metric tons in 2025, up 21% from 2024.
Exports of vegetables and fresh fruit increased 5% year over year, packaged food products rose 3%, confectionery exports jumped 123%, and shipments of nonalcoholic beverages surged 282.6%. The country also exported about 6,000 metric tons of chicken eggs and roughly 26,000 metric tons of food-grade grain crops during the year.
The customs service said it gives priority clearance to food products at border checkpoints, helping ensure prompt and uninterrupted delivery to end consumers.
It also said it regularly holds working meetings with private producers, provides legal support on customs legislation and related changes, and informs exporters about new services that meet current requirements for participants in foreign economic activity.
