Turkmenistan Approves Cooperation Plan With OSCE for 2026

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at regular Cabinet meeting on Friday approved a 2026 cooperation plan between the Turkmen government and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. The plan, proposed by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, tasks the ministry with ensuring its full implementation.

According to Turkmenistan’s official media, cooperation with international organizations, including the OSCE, is a key foreign policy priority. It covers political, economic, environmental and humanitarian areas.

Meredov said the plan includes measures to strengthen security and peace, promote sustainable development and expand humanitarian cooperation. It addresses preventive diplomacy, customs and border management, cybersecurity, economic development and regional cooperation, energy efficiency, environmental protection, climate change, education and science, human rights, democratic institutions, gender equality and media development.

The Cabinet of Ministers also approved decisions on other key issues of state governance.
