An exhibition marking the 18th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan opened Tuesday at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated participants on the anniversary of the union and the international forum “Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan.”

The country’s Program for Social and Economic Development and Investments for 2026 provides for continued state support for small and medium-sized businesses, an increase in the share of the private sector through improvements to the business environment, and raising the non-state sector’s share of gross domestic product to 72.9%. The exemplary activity of union members should serve as a pillar for strengthening industrialization and ensuring sustainable economic development, the president said in his message.

The exhibition features high-quality and competitive products from Turkmen entrepreneurs and industrialists, projects based on modern technologies, and export potential. It also serves as a platform for establishing new business partnerships.

The international forum “Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan,” held alongside the exhibition, is aimed at developing investment cooperation, implementing joint projects and strengthening mutually beneficial business relations. Bilateral meetings and business negotiations are scheduled as part of the forum.

The exhibition will run through March 19.
