The Sakarchage livestock farm, operating in the Sakarchage district of Mary region, expects to obtain 836 camel calves this year from 1,858 breeding females, Turkmenistan’s official media reported Thursday.
The calving season is taking place on the Shyhmansur and Hanguyy pastures, which are known for their rich vegetation. Farm specialists noted that the abundance of vegetation provides a sufficient feed ration for both adult animals and young livestock, contributing to their healthy growth and condition.
The farm has currently fulfilled 90% of its seasonal camel calf production plan.
According to the report, the farm’s total livestock population stands at 4,053 heads, including 760 newborn camel calves.
