At the expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers headed by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow on Friday, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakiyev made a report on the results of the activities of the ministries and departments of the industrial and communication complexes of Turkmenistan in January-June period.
In the indicated period, the production plan was fulfilled by 112.7 percent.
According to the Ministry of Textile Industry, the growth rate for production reached 153 percent.
During the period under review, the growth rate in the production of mineral fertilizers by enterprises of the Türkmenhimiýa State Concern was 153 percent; the plan for the production of technical iodine was fulfilled by 113.7 percent.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Communications, the growth rate for the production and the provision of services is 109.3 percent.
According to the report, the growth rate for Türkmensenagat agency was 109.3 percent, Türkmenawtoulaglary agency - 124.2 percent, Türkmendemirýollary agency - 100.9 percent, Türkmenhowaýollary agency - 109.3 percent, Türkmendeňizderýa agency – 173,6 percent, and Türkmenaragatnaşyk agency - 106.5 percent.
After hearing the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that a set of measures should be developed to ensure conditions for the development of Design centers for microelectronics. The President also instructed to identify priority areas for cooperation with foreign producers in this regard.
The Head of State also urged to take urgent measures to ensure the functioning of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport at full capacity, and instructed to work out the issue of creating transport and logistics centers.
