President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed the need to prepare proposals to increase the production of construction materials.
At the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Myradov reported on the results of the development of the national economy in January-August of this year. He reported that the overall production of all ministries and sectoral departments increased by 6.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
The volume of retail turnover for the last eight months increased by 19.1 percent compared to the same period last year, and the foreign trade turnover increased by 1.2 percent. The deputy prime minister also noted that during the reported period, capital investments in the amount of about 1,6 billion manats were utilized.
Summing up the report, the Turkmen Leader emphasized the need to prepare proposals for increasing the production of construction materials.
The President of Turkmenistan noted the importance of diversifying production within the framework of the country's industrialization, increasing the output of import-substituting products and exporting domestic products.
