Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan Parliaments Hold Negotiations in Baku
The parties discussed the current issues of Turkmen-Azerbaijani ties in political, economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Turkmen delegation headed by the Chairperson of Majlis (Parliament) of Turkmenistan Gulshat Mammedova visited the Republic of Azerbaijan on November 4.

In the framework of the visit, the delegation held a meeting with the Chairman of the Milli Mejlis (National Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ogtay Asadov.

The parties discussed the current issues of Turkmen-Azerbaijani ties in political, economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. They underlined the consistent development of inter-parliamentary ties and considered the opportunities for strengthening collaboration in this field.

During the visit, the delegation also got acquainted with the activities of the Asan State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

So far, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan has inked about 90 bilateral documents. Trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $133 million last year. This figure reached $163 million during the first 9 months of this year.
