Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan is a body of state administration of Turkmenistan that is adopting a policy in such spheres as trade, foreign economic relations as well as consumer's cooperation.
In accordance with the tasks assigned on, the Ministry effectuates activity connected with glutting the domestic market of country with goods, improvement of the trade and public catering organization, material support for national economy, support of the state interests observance in foreign markets according to the international agreements.
Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan unites more than 200 trading, manufacturing, procurement and service enterprises. The main activities of these enterprises are as follows:
- To organize consumer goods retail trade in the dependent markets, trading centers, shops;
- To supply the national economy and large-scale constructions with the necessary means, construction materials, equipment and machines;
- To provide public services on the dependent catering enterprises;
- To produce and sell the consumers goods;
- In order to supply the domestic market requests, to buy and import the goods which are not produced in Turkmenistan;
- To sell to foreign markets the goods which are produced in Turkmenistan and to be exported;
- To make construction of commercial, manufacturing and socio-cultural objects;
- To make construction of commercial, manufacturing and socio-cultural objects;
- To exercise control over trade rules & standards observance in Turkmenistan by both of enterprises and private entrepreneurs regardless of their property forms as well as organisational and juridical forms as well as organisational andjuridical forms.
