Turkmenistan Celebrates International Day of Neutrality
The coming 2020 will be marked by an important date - the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality status recognized by the UN.

The people of Independent and Neutral Turkmenistan, together with the international community, celebrate today the International Day of Neutrality.

According to Turkmenistan's State news agency (TDH), a ceremony of laying flowers at the Monument of Neutrality, with the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, took place today, on the occasion of the holiday.

Numerous residents of the capital and foreign guests gathered in the morning at the site of the Monument. Chairman of the Mejlis (Parliament), Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, deputies of the national parliament, ambassadors of Turkmenistan in foreign countries, heads of diplomatic representatives and missions in the country, businessmen, as well as representatives of public organizations, media, elders and students attended the ceremony.

The coming 2020 will be marked by an important date - the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality status recognized by the United Nations.

At the end of the ceremony, the Turkmen Leader warmly said goodbye to its participants and left the scene of celebrations.

Mass celebrations and holiday concerts dedicated to the International Day of Neutrality take place in all regions of the country.
