Turkmenistan, Tajikistan Consider Opening of Trading Houses
During the ninth session of the Joint Turkmen-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission, the officials discussed the issues of establishing direct contacts between the economic units of two countries.

Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan hosted last week the meeting with the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan Farrukh Sharifzoda.

Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan Orazmyrat Gurbannazarov participated at the meeting.

During the talks in Ashgabat, the parties discussed prospects of bilateral commercial and economic cooperation. The officials also considered opening of a trading house of Tajikistan in Ashgabat and trading house of Turkmenistan in Dushanbe to further facilitate the trade between the countries.

The ninth session of the Joint Turkmen-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation took place on November 1, 2019 in Ashgabat. Back then, the sides discussed the opportunities of increasing the trade turnover between the two countries and the issues of establishing direct contacts between the economic units of two countries including the organization of joint business projects, forums and exhibitions.
