Russia Makes 75th Anniversary of Victory Medals for CIS Countries
Russia is waiting for the information on the honorees from the CIS countries by 1 February 2020.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree ordering to make the jubilee medal “75 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945” for the CIS member states.

The list of medal recipients and the medal presentation procedures will be determined by the regulations of the CIS member states. Russia is waiting for the information on the honorees from the CIS countries by 1 February 2020.

It is planned that the medals will be handed over through the diplomatic channels of the CIS countries no later than 1 March 2020.

During the October summit of CIS Heads of State in Ashgabat, the CIS Leaders approved the Address by the Heads of CIS participating states to the people of the Commonwealth and the world community in connection with the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War.

During the informal summit of CIS Heads of State on December 20, 2019 in St. Petersburg, the Heads of State agreed to jointly prepare for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
