Turkmenistan’s Foreign Trade Turnover Expected to Reach $135 Billion
In the next seven years, it is expected that the total volume of foreign trade turnover will reach $135.2 billion, with exports standing at $84.1 billion and imports at $51.1 billion.

Turkmenistan expects the dynamic growth of retail turnover in the med-term perspective. According to experts’ estimates, the indicator will reach 81 billion manats in 2025, an increase of 29.1% compared to 2019 (62.7 billion manats).

According to the data published on Chronicle of 2019: Financial and economic sector, the share of private sector in trade will reach 95%.

According to the data, the volume of production of domestic consumer goods will reach 16.1 billion manats in 2025, an increase of 22.2% compared to the same indicator in 2019 (13.2 billion manats).

In the next seven years, it is expected that the total volume of Turkmenistan's foreign trade turnover will reach $135.2 billion, with exports standing at $84.1 billion and imports at $51.1 billion.

Based on the analysis of the dynamics of statistical data of previous years, forecast indicators and available resources of development of trade relations, experts note that the planned obligations will be fulfilled annually.

Experts forecast the total volume of investments into the main capital to reach 229.3 billion manats in near future, from which 91.3% or 209.2 billion manats will be directed to the production sector.

To implement the seven-year programme, the government intends to introduce effective methods of management, actively attract entrepreneurship, as well as untapped reserves and opportunities provided by the country's colossal natural resources, its favorable location and geopolitical factors.
