Turkmenistan Puts 35 State Properties Up for Auction

The Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan has announced an auction for the sale of 35 state-owned properties.

The list of state assets available for privatization was published on Friday in the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan. The auction will take place on January 24, 2025, on the digital platform for the trading of state property and through the mobile application of this platform.

Among the largest properties to be auctioned are the Döwrebap shopping and entertainment center (8,800 sq. m), a two-story building in the Lebap velayat, and a pipe manufacturing plant in the Dashoguz velayat (6,400 sq. m).

The auction will also include service sector properties, such as stores, cafes, cafeterias, administrative buildings, and production facilities.

Participation in the auction is open to citizens of Turkmenistan and foreign countries, as well as non-state legal entities from Turkmenistan and other nations, in accordance with established legislation.

Consultations regarding participation in the auction and additional information about the privatized properties are provided by the Department of Property Relations and Entrepreneurship Support of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and the relevant departments of property relations and entrepreneurship support in the velayats and the city of Ashgabat.

All auction participants will have the opportunity to review information about the privatized properties in advance. The sale of state properties will be conducted with all associated obligations.
