Turkmenistan donated humanitarian aid consisting of essential goods, including medical supplies to neighboring Iran due to the increase of cases of acute respiratory diseases evoked by the coronavirus in the country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan ensured the organized delivery of medical supplies and food products to the Iranian people as free aid.
The humanitarian assistance was delivered to Khorasan Razavi province. Governor of Dargaz Ali Farahi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan Gulam Abbas Arbab-Khales, the Head of the Health Care Department of the city of Dargaz, as well as media representatives of the country gathered at the delivery point.
The officials of the province accepted the humanitarian aid and expressed their gratitude to Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan was among the first countries to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of the neighboring state.
