Turkmen Businessman Exports Around 1000 Square Meters of Carpet Products

The carpet factory owned by businessman Hangeldi Atakayev in Dashoguz velayat’s Gubadag etrap in the northern Turkmenistan annually exports up to 1000 square meters of carpet products.

In an interview with Business Turkmenistan, the businessman said the carpet-weavers at his factory weave Turkmen carpets with elaborate ornaments ranging in size from 1 to 60 square meters.

“Our company exports up to 1000 square meters of carpet products per year to Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and other countries,” Atakayev said.

During the conversation, the businessman shared with his company’s plans to open three carpet stores in Dashoguz city.

Businessman Hangeldi Atakayev purchased the carpet factory in Gubadag as a result of the privatization process of the factory in February 2018. The production capacity of the enterprise, which employs 47 people, is over 1000 square meters of carpet products per year.
