The GS1 in Europe Board of Directors meeting was held for the first time in a video conference format on April 29-30. Along with the leaders of national organizations, the Chairman of GS1 Turkmenistan Aykamar Malikguliyeva also attended the meeting.
The meeting participants discussed a wide range of issues related to the organization’s activities in the current year and for the upcoming period.
Particularly, the sides unanimously approved the financial statements for 2019, considered budget proposals and organizational matters in order to successfully implement a number of GS1 in Europe’s projects
During the meeting, information was presented on the activities of national organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic, which covers a wide geographical space and has a negative impact on the lives of many states and peoples. The sides also discussed the possibilities of holding GS1 in Europe events taking into account the situation.
Aykamar Malikguliyeva said the work of GS1 Turkmenistan is proceeding stably, as usually, and is subject to all recommended preventive measures.
The heads of national organizations also expressed their support for the project, according to which, until 2023, all member countries of the organization must ensure the delivery of barcodes online with the integration of GS1 Activate.
