Delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the 87th meeting of the CIS Economic Council, which took place on a video conference format on Tuesday, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reports.
The meeting participants exchanged views on topical areas of economic cooperation and considered a number of documents.
In particular, the Council was briefed on the main results of the implementation of the CIS Economic Development Strategy for the period up to 2020, on the draft Action Plan for the implementation of the first stage (2021–2025) of a similar Strategy for the period up to 2030, and on the draft Interstate Innovation Program cooperation of the CIS member states for the period up to 2030.
The parties also considered 18 issues on cooperation in the economic and other spheres, some of which will be sent to the Council of Heads of Government for consideration at the upcoming meeting in November this year.
The next meeting of the CIS Economic Council is scheduled to take place in December this year in Moscow.
