Concern Galnaftogaz operates about 440 filling stations under the OKKO brand.

Ukrainian Concern Galnaftogaz, part of OKKO Group, plans to diversify sources of fuel supplies, including through the purchase of oil products from Turkmenistan, Interfax-Ukraine reported on Wednesday.

In early 2021, OKKO acquired the Kherson oil transshipment complex and is going to invest up to $3 million for its modernization.

The press service of the company cited Vice-President of OKKO Yuri Kuchabskiy as saying that the acquisition of the port complex opened up a wide fuel market: under favorable conditions OKKO would be able to increase the volume of imported oil products from Turkmenistan, Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria. In this vein, the figure was named at 150-200 thousand tons per year.

The Kherson oil transshipment complex includes a harbor for unloading oil tankers and storage of fuel, an oil depot with access to railways, and a network of oil products pipeline.

Concern Galnaftogaz operates one of the largest network of gas stations in Ukraine. The concern includes about 440 filling stations under the OKKO brand.
