President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Tuesday made a working trip to Ahal velayat and got acquainted with the production activities of the Miwe Open Joint-Stock Company and with its engineering and technical facilities.
The Vice-Premier Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev acquainted the President with the characteristic features of the water-lifting stations of Miwe OJSC, built using the best world experience. The water required for irrigation of farmland is pumped to the first station using 6 water pumps with a capacity of 400 kilowatts, installed at the 630th kilometer of the Karakum River, the official media of Turkmenistan,
The shareholders of the Miwe OJSC are the Gök Bulut, Hemsaýa, Miweli Atyz and Datly Miwe companies, and each of them was provided with a 300-hectare land plot for long-term use in Watan farmers’ association of Ahal velayat’s Kaka etrap. The Miwe OJSC employs 345 people.
The annual production capacity of Gök bulut is 370 tons of nuts, 520 tons of apples, 120 tons of plums, 140 tons of peaches and 1,500 tons of pears.
Hemsaýa Economic Society plans to annually harvest 180 tons of almonds and 2,100 tons of persimmon.
Specializing in the production of almonds, Miweli Atyz and Datly Miwe companies plan to annually harvest 340 tons and 320 tons of the crop respectively.
Noting the importance of rational water use for the successful development of the agro-industrial complex, realizing its enormous potential and ensuring environmental well-being, the Turkmen President wished everyone success in solving the set tasks.
