Türkmengaz State Concern, the national natural gas company of Turkmenistan, started natural gas production at the Agarguyy deposit in the country’s eastern velayat of Lebap.
Recently, the drilling of two wells at the deposit yielded inflow of hydrocarbons, the online newspaper of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan reported on Wednesday.
These large-scale works were carried out within the framework of the Program for the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry of Turkmenistan for the Period up to 2030, according to the report.
The deposit is located near the Malay field. Presently, more than 300 thousand cubic meters of natural gas is sent daily from the Agarguyy deposit to the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline.
At the Agarguyy deposit, the drilling operations of another well with a design depth of 3.3 thousand meters are presently at their final stage. Drilling work is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
