President of India Ram Nath Kovind within the framework of his visit to Turkmenistan visited historical and cultural sites as well as sports and educational facilities in the Turkmen capital on Sunday.
The Indian President first visited the Halk Hakydasy Memorial Complex and then the Bagtyýarlyk Sports Complex, where he laid flowers at the monument of Mahatma Gandhi, one of India's foremost political figures, the official media of Turkmenistan reports.
President Kovind also visited the Yoga Center at the Bagtyýarlyk Sports Complex.
In afternoon, President Kovind proceeded to the International Akhalteke Horse Racing Complex in the foothills of Kopetdag Mountains. At the complex, the Galkynysh National Equestrian Games Group of Turkmenistan demonstrated their horse riding skills and stunts.
On Saturday, the Indian President visited Kipchak and paid tribute to the memory of Turkmenistan's first President by laying flowers at the Mausoleum.
