The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) during Monday trades registered deals on the procurement of aviation fuel, high-density polyethylene, urea and handmade carpets.
Companies from the UK, UAE and the Virgin Islands procured a total of 13.4 thousand tons of TC-1 aviation fuel. The price of the fuel increased by 3.9% compared to the previous auction and amounted to $1,227.25 per ton. The total sum of deals exceeded $16.5 million, the SCRMET announced on Tuesday.
Azerbaijani and Afghan businesses bought 4 thousand tons of urea grade B produced at Marykarbamid plant of Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern. Its price dropped 1.8% compared to the previous auction and amounted to $434.50 per ton. The total sum of deals amounted to $1.7 million.
For the domestic market, local businesses bought 23 tons of T60-475-119 high-density polyethylene for 414 thousand manats and handmade carpets for 2.4 thousand manats.
Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan exceeded $5.5 million.
Established in 1994, the SCRMET is the main body regulating export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
