The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) during Tuesday trades registered 11 deals worth a total of $48.4 million for the procurement of TC-1 aviation kerosene, hydrotreated diesel fuel and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The businesses from the Virgin Islands, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan purchased 19,000 tons of TC-1 aviation kerosene for a total of $19.9 million. The price of a ton of the fuel amounted to $1,051, the SCRMET announced on Wednesday.
During the trades, the companies from the UAE, Turkey and Afghanistan purchased 26.9 thousand tons of hydrotreated diesel fuel at a price of $1,050.25 per ton. The total amount of transactions amounted to $28.2 million.
The Afghan company signed a deal for the supply of 500 tons of liquefied natural gas for $219,000 ($438 per ton).
Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the SCRMET amounted to more than $17.775 million.
Established in 1994, the SCRMET is the main body regulating export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
