Another humanitarian aid package was sent on Wednesday from Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to help the victims of the earthquakes in Türkiye, the Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan Togan Oral said in a tweet.
According to Togan Oral, 1,500 plaids and 10 generators were transported to Turkey from Ashgabat on the Turkish Airlines plane within the framework of a joint cooperation between the Turkish Embassy in Ashgabat and the Women’s Organization of Turkmenistan.
"We express our gratitude to the Turkish companies and their employees, citizens and the government of Turkmenistan for their humanitarian support," Togan Oral said in a video posted on his Twitter account.
The Turkmen airplane carrying the relief team and necessary supplies to the earthquake victims left Ashgabat for Turkey last Tuesday.
The U.S. Geological Survey measured Monday’s earthquake at 7.8 magnitude. In the second half of the same day, a second massive earthquake with a magnitude of of 7.6 hit the southeast of Türkiye. According to the latest data, the death toll in earthquake reached 36,187, and the number of injured was 108.068.
