January-November: Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan Transport 17.3% of Oil via Baku

The total volume of oil transit from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline in January-November accounted for 17.3 percent of the entire pumping volume. 

The transit oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan accounted for 4,780,800 tonnes, the Interfax-Azerbaijan reported on Friday, citing the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.

In the reporting period, the volume of oil pumped through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline reached 27,635.3 thousand tonnes, reflecting a 1.9 percent increase compared to last year.

In January-October 2023, transporting transit oil from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan through the BTC pipeline accounted for 17 percent of the total pumping volume, equivalent to 4,270.3 thousand tonnes.
