The total volume of oil transit from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline in 2023 accounted for 17.4 percent of the entire pumping volume.
The transit oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan accounted for 5.2 million tonnes, the Interfax-Azerbaijan reported on Friday, citing the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
In the reporting period, the volume of oil pumped through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline reached 30.1 million tonnes, reflecting a 1.5 percent increase compared to last year.
In January-November 2023, transporting transit oil from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan through the BTC pipeline accounted for 17.3 percent of the total pumping volume, equivalent to 4.7 million tonnes.
